Jabil, one of Lam Research's preferred suppliers just listed a layoff of over 400 people. 343 in Fremont and 92 in Livermore. Layoff to be in November and is listed on the CA Warn web page.
This does not look good people.

Word. Send them back.
Well guess again, I work at a Lam supplier and we just layer off people 1 day before Thanksgiving holiday week shut down.
So you are 1/2 right.
The people who worked there and got laid off won't be able to find a job anywhere else so bye bye losers. Maybe go back to Mexico to work. They have plenty of jobs.
I just heard from a friend who works at another Lam supplier. Business is really slow. They have some work but not much. They use to have a staff of 7 engineers and now they are down to 2. Hiring freeze and possibly another layoff (they had a small layoff 3 months ago).

I call BS on that one. Companies do not layoff people for the holidays, they simply shut down and say to their employees use their holiday pay, vacation pay or have it as unpaid. In fact Lam does that every year and does not layoff their employees for the holidays.
Lame, EDD website says it is a temporary closure (like a plant shutdown for holidays). Post the truth please.
