What happens if they don't take the package

If offered a package and you don't take it, is pretty likely you will get targeted in next round of lay offs. It could be that enough people take the package so that a layoff is not needed in your group, but not likely. Take the package and run if you can. The economy is good right now and there are plenty of companies hiring.
Nothing. But if there is another RIF.. you get let go anyway for less money than the volunteer package. So no safety really. But if not enough volunteers I'm sure will be involuntary rif business as usual
