Engagement can't happen when there is bullying and self-aggrandizing afoot. PLs need to do some reflective work. And if they if truly can't control themselves, maybe they could be taught to just bully their own reports and not everyone else they think they lord over.

Finally, after years of nonsense at the top, Enbridge is broken. The best managers, directors and VPs are gone, and the few good ones who remain have gone underground. Bullys rule, and they are intent on taking what they can. I wish I could feel more hopeful. I can’t figure out why the Board is Directors doesn’t care.

By firing his "mentor" aka uncle/ friend/ bf/ gf/ favor who was responsible for hiring this mo--n who needs coaching. Too much f***ing nepotism is how we end up with stupid a-- managers and management. Not even 10% of them have any real accomplishments over their direct reports. They got the position bc they s---ed the right one at the right time. Most of them just go to meetings, run their mouth to be noticed and take action items to distribute to the people who actually know how to do things.
