Xerox Webster Campus Spruced Up?

Is it my imagination or are things in Xerox Park being spruced up? Roads paved, parking lots fixed and repaved or sealed. New parking stripes down. Crumbling sidewalks replaced.

A new look for a new Xerox or for a prospective buyer. Akin as if someone is painting their house in anticipation of putting it on the market.

Some buildings on the west side look as if they are empty and being readied to be sold off to minimize our "footprint."

The 111 parking lot is being completely redone, which is surprising. Normally they would just patch the holes, put a sealant on, and be done with it.

A section of 111 was completely gutted and renovated for XIM after the move from the square. They have been working on the roof for a while too for that building, along with redoing most of the entrance lobbies

I can't speak for all of campus but other than Building 209, I haven't seen any improvement in the other buildings I work in.

the talk was that after Xerox pulled out of Xerox Square in Rochester that some of the money saved by doing so woudl be re-invested in Webster to upgrade office, lab and production space. For Pete's sake, the building I used to work out of looked like it opened during the time of Mad Men and hadn't been touched since. But, that was before the leadership change. There is no chance that they spend one cent on something that will have no impact on the sale price of Xerox.

I wouldn't say they are being spruced up. It appears they are doing the minimal possible to likely comply with whatever safety regulations are in place for private roads & walkways. It definitely looks like it's being done on the cheap, and no possible suitor will look at this and think what a great campus we have.

I doubt anybody looking to purchase Xerox would be influenced by patched potholes.
