Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Lets put this in perspective

A thousand shares of SHLD is worth $640 today. 10 yrs ago a thousand shares were worth $150,000. The transformation is almost complete. I feel the pain of employees that have held SHLD in their 401k's all those years.

To those that held onto SHLD stock not only took the actual and material loss but also add to that a lost opportunity if that money was invested in a decent mutual fund. One co-worker told me he had almost 50,000 invested in Sears a couple years ago. I hope he got out .... I think he was laid off a couple years ago.

I took all of my 401K investments out of Sears stock and put them into medium and large growth funds around 10 or 12 years ago.....and my 401K balance growth is much better for it.
