Thread regarding GE Healthcare layoffs

Is GE Healthcare shielded?

I know GEHC wants to be separate but not sure why would a new person separate a cash cow. And that too when millions are tied to the stock price.

Anyway, we should start evaluating employees by a point system where education, credentials, degrees all have weight. That would ensure capable people are put in leadership roles -- be it PMO, or audit or security or analytics. I have interfaced with the security org and only few seem to get it what they are doing.

GEHC is burning hundreds of millions for this foreseeable separation. Before seperation all execs need to be reevaluated as well, hopefully seperated company doesnt have a bunch of incapable people running it. Leadership supporting enterprise functions has long lived in the shadows of GE and I dont have much confidence. LK, if you are listening, start getting rid of incompetent leadership at GEHC as well.

@VyvxnR9-5dhy : Education/certifications and success/leadership dont have a causal relationship but are highly correlated. We are all experts on the sidelines and I am sure you will piss your pants if you were to exchange a word with Immelt, even now.

@VyvxnR9-1znr : I guess one group does check, they are called losers in life aka HR. I know a few people who got changed jobs and lied about credentials on their resume.

Lol. You all look like its a big revelation. I remember i was shocked 10 years ago when i realized that 70% of GE management and engineering does not have degree or knowledge of the subject.

You know what changed for the last 10 years? Nothing.

They also run a Privacy shop there and none actually know what privacy is in true sense. I dont think anybody has law degree or those flashy certification. A few new VPs just joined because they new the super boss.

Yes, CISO, all VPs ans Sr Directors should be evaluated. BTW, For internal jobs I have seen people putting credentials in there resume, that they dont have. Who checks those claims?
