Yep I’m an engineer and realized the tech industry I knew is over. Exciting industries mature eventually into dull walking dead utilities. I see from your tone that you’re the same person that’s written about 5-6 extremely bitter posts. Cisco is not going under. Cisco is doing well in the face of serious headwinds. Do they love us? Not at all.
Do not associate poor product strategy with ability to generate revenue. Cisco has strong government relationships, and will have no trouble selling boxes around the world. The skillset needed to build these government relationships is different from other traditional tech companies.
Engineers, scientists, and researchers are not needed at Cisco. Political strategists and salesmen are critical.
