Does anyone else’s facilities make the more senior people train new employees and not be compensated for it? Just curious. I also find it annoying that you have people with experience that have worked for the facility before being brought back in and not being laid what the left at.

Why should you get compensated for that? They pay you for your time, not what you do. Your job is to do what they tell you to.
If they asked you to sweep floors would you want them paying you a lower rate for when you do it?
