I’ve heard that Assistants May get the cut soon? Is there any truth to this?

It was confirmed this morning by my store manager to me this morning. He heard it all on a conference call. The headcount stores will have has not been finalized but it has been confirmed that the store managers are going to the year beginning meeting a little earlier this year and cuts will be made in March. No further details at this time. That’s all he knows. Anyone have any further details?

Fair and impartial died with Sam. My SM is truly bi-polar, you just hope his meds kick in soon after he gets in. If they get his input he's likely to fire everyone. No one is as good as he was as an assistant, don't ask him, he'll tell you. If you can find a way out do it soon. Everybody I know is looking to jump ship.
I heard the same supercenters down to 4 asm to run the store, then an ACC and an OGP so 6 total.
Its just going to be more pressure on Assistants.
I'm going to look into this and see if I can learn anything credible; I should have an answer either way in the next few days.
But yeah, like the last poster said: If it's going to happen, I think it's going to be very much like how it was with the cos-----despite what H.O. claimed about the downsizing being fair and impartial, everyone at every store that lost co managers knew good and well they'd shed the ones who'd loooong needed to go.
These moves give the company a legit license to kill :)
