Wow! Why would anyone work major holidays for their normal c-appy pay?! Can't believe any of you even show up, what ever happened to looking out for you OWN best interests??
Yea can't wait to work Thanksgiving and Christmas for my normal pay, really makes you feel good to be at work instead of home with family. I will be calling in sick and if the rest of you are smart you will too. What a great American company this has become...
@ 1swg: I relate 100% to your story. I've been gone from WM for three years, I'm in a completelt different line of work with fantastic pay/benefits, my outlook and inner peace are stronger than ever, and job-wise I couldn't be happier.
Retail workers don't deserve to be treated like dogs, and there is life after Walmart!

the stores would stay open if no one shopped ... the stores are greedy... I worked at Walmart for 20 years before I decided to let go... I realized I had become a rude hateful person.. I hated everyone that shopped in our stores. We were treated so awful by customers It became an everyday way of life .. I have been gone for a year now and I’m just now starting to see a difference in my attitude toward people.. I will shop in a Walmart again
Unfortunately, everyone who goes shopping on Thanksgiving and Black Friday looking for 'great' deals can be blamed. (I'm not one of them and never have been.)
If the mindless sheeple don't go out like lemmings because 'x' store is brainwashing you into believing you have to have the latest (fill-in-the-blank) at (fill-in-the-blank) price, then WM and everywhere else would be closed.
Everyone gets depressed during the holidays.
