I want to how long it will take the company to sell the round rock facility, they owned the building and I’m sure it’s Ruthie nice chunk of change.

What about the service.com offer for home services? What happens to STAC?

-1ovy , posting about the techs , You are telling people exactly what they need to hear ! Worked for stac for years , quit because of the inhumane and terrible treatment technicians in the field and technicians at stac receive . Many of the technicians I considered friends , customers were angry about things that were not in the technicians control . I dont know why some of the technicians do not form their own LLC and take over their area of service , there are great technicians that worked for a company that gave them impossible circumstances , I worked with some that are truly great !

I don’t know who is claiming there were pay increases 2 weeks after Bk filing but they are not true. The blue crew has techs leaving because they can’t get a pay increase and it’s been that way for over a year. Districts with a lack of techs won’t give their remaining techs a raise stating their numbers are bad. Well, they are bad because nobody wants to buy a new unit from Sears and don’t trust they will be able to continue service if they buy a warranty. It just takes a google search to see that Sears Canada did not refund anyone that purchased a warranty over 30 days prior to filing for chapter 7. The customers are more worried about their money. The company is more worried about money than they are the techs that are getting 10-14 service calls a day all over their districts that happen to also be multi state districts. The techs are being refused to have calls cancelled when a part isn’t available instead forcing them to go do the work that can’t be done. They are being written up when they call to speak to a customer and that customer cussed them out for not having the needed part and they want it fixed now not I a few days when suppliers have the part available or it finally arrives in the mail from sears warehouse. It’s somehow the techs fault for not having what is needed when the district managers say they need it not when the suppliers says it will be available. John is pulling all those strings and then threatens the jobs of the managers if they don’t do what he says when he says it. The managers then take out their anger on their techs and allow the customers to mistreat the techs and then they throw tantrums when techs leave. This is why Sears is failing. The managers that are incompetent are kept, the employees that worked their butts off to make money for Sears are treated with no human decency, and Eddies tells blue crew managers to micromanage everything but doesn’t manager the stores properly and doesn’t improve the stores just allows them to continue failing until they are shut down. The BK judge needs to hold Eddie accountable and his cronies for every bad decision they made and every store they closed without fixing the store. Until people like Eddie are held accountable, this will continue to happen to other companies and other employees. It’s not about being stupid to stay with Sears, it’s about any company having the ability to make this happen to their business and the workers suffering for it and told oh well but we got our bonuses that would have continued to allow us to bring in someone to fix the problems with the stores and make them profitable and you would still have your job.

The STAC property is very prime real estate ! When I worked there , servery crews were there multiple times to asses the value . The database for troubleshooting multiple vendors appliances is fairly vast , but it is so unorganized and scattered out on the system , it is out dated and not reliable enough to get true troubleshooting information in the time required . Many times you need to call the vendor for additional support , and with all the vendors disillusioned about Sears , good luck getting help from them . I would not want that package of STAC and the database , another deposit to Deep Eddie is all that would be .

With the new tech hub there's so many features, we won't even need stac anymore. In the service industry we were just given very generous pay increases 2 weeks after the bankruptcy.
