Sounds like he just doesn't what to work. What is he going to do if he had to rely on himself for anything at all? What a mo--n.
That was ridiculous. Oh my goodness, I might have to lift something that weighs like 1/3 of the average woman's bodyweight or less?? The horror! I might have to get my hands dirty? Ewwww!
Y'all have gotten REAL soft if you think 25 Lbs is heavy, and lifting that much is "grunt work"
I wouldn't even consider 50 Lbs "heavy"... probably 75+
I am an engineer, have a BSEE... and regularly lift more than 100 Lbs in my free time (a lot more in the gym)
Makes no sense...
My wife works for an industrial company and every employee is required to be able to lift 25 lbs, it's on every job req. Finance, IT, engineers, warehouse folks, everyone needs to be able to lift 25 lbs. That's legit, they move a lot, they all go to warehouses, etc. They have every role close to the business, and the business happens in the warehouse.
What a strange search (REQUIRING the ad to include stuff about lifting). I just did the same search without that (BSEE in San Jose) and lots of seemingly OK jobs turn up.
OP is angry at first poster.
Okay, I guess you haven't watched the video.
As long as the cost of attending a college remains high, many kids decide not to go cause they can't afford it (not that they don't want to go) and don't want to drag on the student loan payments for years to come. This is one reason why kids in foreign country are doing better then our kids. I'm sure if we kept the cost of college down, more kids would go to college and get involved in math and science related degrees.
