Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Just curious if OOS and 991s matter anymore

My store is on the designated list although we are still open...so far

I finally learned the new way to do OOS on my own since management didn’t know anything about it and I’m the only one in store that does them

I also do the 991s, my report is about 3 pages long and every week I print off the report and each item I find and update I highlite and if they are on floor but not the report I list those also

I really enjoy doing both of these, although time consuming I find them to be challenging..

I’m just wondering with the state that the company is in, is it still a vital role? Does anyone even look at these reports?

I looked at a nearby stores report on 991s and the last update on prices was over 350 days..but I don’t know if they still have product on the floor

Anyone out there that does these reports too?

So , do the 991 items go to full price a week before the liquidator takes over ?

We haven't done OOS in months. 991's are done weekly.

The big motivation in our store to keep up to date on the 991 list was Sears.com.

Customers would order 991 items via Sears outlet.com and then when the MPU associate would go to pull the order to bin it, the item was not there.....The 991 list had a number of items on it that were incorrect.

So, because of all of the "No's" that this created on online order requests at MPU, ASM's and leads had to go in and update the 991 list and delete incorrect items off the list so that they would not show up erroneously on Sears.com.
