Cannot override for an employee

As far as Macy’s compliance claimant dept, never heard of it. What exactly happened?
AP/OPs mgr usually has a sit down with the employee in question.
I now have an appointment on the phone with the Macy’s complainace claimant department, anyone else been though this and know what to except?
It’s ok to extend the courtesy to customers.
But employees are forbidden from having any overrides done for them. So the manager broke a serious rule.
The reason employees are not allowed those types of overrides is because we already receive our employee discount on top of the specials.
We just had 2 employees fired last week for the same behavior. And AP did not care that they misunderstood the policy.

There is so much pressure on employees to make presell goals that they do whatever they have to do to make mgmt. happy. When did profitability become unimportant? A customer told me he put 4 Polo specials on presell for F&F. I told him that I couldn't do that in my dept. I questioned the ASM and she said that they do it all the time in order to hit their presell goal. I don't have an MBA but selling things below cost doesn't make a lot of sense.
Wow! That would never happen in our store. Security would be all over it. I’ve seen mgrs fired for similar activities.
Specials are not eligible for presell discounts as those are coupons. So required the person ringing to perform an override. And that is 100% forbidden for employees. You could still make some calls and escalate it with Assept protection. The mgrs involved should be fired and prob did this to you since you saw what they did and were afraid you may tell.
That is what I thought.
My store manager had another manager ring him up and he got 30 percent off with a presale, everything was on special. 5 days later I was called in and managers said I said a swear word to a manager (I didn’t another floor lead did), 2 days later I was fired. Been there 6 years and have won MM6 award twice
Macy’s says integrity first!! Right
No overrides or courtesies that at e often given to customers. Range register will do what is within policy and your employee discount will be take off back of house as usual on the Macy’s card.
Coupons won’t work on specials automatically. But you will still receive your employee discount on your card.
Any attempts to take more off result in termination
When it doubt, just ask a manager. They will always steer you in right direction
