Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

It’s just business

Just because sales are up doesn’t necessarily mean that profits are up. Profit is what you pay everything with. From utilities to yes wages. The physical stores now require less customer service With improvements with technology it’s only a matter of time before we can ask a robot where something is. Oh wait there is an app for that.

Stock the shelves, sign it appropriately, stock moving things around.... this cuts a majority of questions.

Sams club is the only one thinning the herd. If you think otherwise, suggest you look at another website to gain adequate info.

As far as minimum wage increasing, prices on items will only increase over time to compensate for manufacturing and distribution of goods sold. So really that’s a mute point.

Think about when you get an estimate on something to fix in your home or your auto. The majority of cost is wrapped up into labor costs. Typically the items being serviced is minimal dollars but the service or labor costs are high. Do you like to pay labor costs? If you had to write the checks for the business where would your eye go continually? There are some things you can’t cut. But there are many things you can get back in line to get your checkbook in order.

And yes at the end of the day it’s just business. It’s not personal. No one has your name and wants to displace you. It’s just business.

Found this to be a good and a truthful post. Originally posted on another thread ( @W1gBt6B-7iyc )
