I wish they would come on with the Severance. I would be a fool to leave without my money and the opportunity to apply for unemployment. Call me what you want I’m taking a break. Stop wasting my time in the office Sam’s Club. Poor associates you all will suffer without PTC support but then again “Adapt” is or use to be apart of the evaluations. So I guess that’s what the clubs will do. I will miss my Coworkers dearly. But I’m checked out and ready to go.

Don't wait around for severance. Taxes will eat almost half of it. There are other things out there. Amazing how you can apply yourself when you really really have to. Yes I have a family and kids to feed. Yes I had a lot invested in Sams. You don't know what you can do until you try. Best thing I ever did was get out. And I'm still here posting because I have family members that are terrified to do something different and keep getting beat down by this company. No one has negative affects except the associates. Upper management quit caring about associates years ago.
25 1/2 years and I'm ready to go too. I just can't stand the way they treat people anymore. Full time position was ''made''in my club for one person just recently. That was after I was told there was no fill time positions available. Take your severance and run, don't look back. Collect your unemployment and enjoy your life with your family. In the future they might be as lucky as us to get a severance package. I can't wait for Dec 7th myself.
I am a 33 year associate waiting for Dec. 7th. It can't come soon enough. I wish they would let me go now. I will miss many people that I've come to know through the years. It is bitter sweet to leave. I was hoping to retire from Sam's but not in the direction they are going. With all the technology coming out,I wouldn't be surprised Sam's closes in the next five years. Good luck to you guys that are staying. I'm feeling more free everyday . Come on DEC 7!!!!

Congratulations to you (last post) Sam’s is changing in so many ways. It’s time to move on. The first comment here, thank you for agreeing and understanding where I’m coming from, you are so right about Sam Walton. There are a few jerks on this site but oh well, hey Jerk!! Prayers to everyone on your journey working at the club. And Best Wishes to those who are moving on.
Now I got my severance amount over a week ago. I was on vacation week before that ( week of halloween) and my co workers got there then . I was told if I do nothing Dec 7th I will get my walking papers, severance agreement will come in the mail, sign, return and wait couple pay periods for direct deposit. I'm taking it and the unemployment and enjoying the holidays. I'll be so glad not to have to deal with claims! I didn't even apply for the back room just tired and ready to go.

You do you! This happened to me last January and I wish I would have had your attitude about it. Take the needed time off and let Sam's Club pay your unemployment as long as you can. Stay until you get your severance package too. Something bigger and better is out there for you! Former Sams Club PTC Sam Walton is rolling over in his grave this is not what he founded this company on. Go be happy and try to forget the stresses of Sams Club.
