I've heard 40 jobs abolished, but I also heard 5 per manager, which would be 60.

So sorry to read about all the layoffs.
"They'll get some cheapO contractor to do work on an As Needed basis. The quality will be Krap but heh we save a few more bucks."
EXACTLY RIGHT!! VERY SAD INDEED. GREED DESTROYS MORE LIVELYHOODS.
How they can honestly get rid of all these field technicians when PTC isn't even working properly yet? The restoration technicians are spread so thin, there will be no way to compensate with these failures. Not to mention the railroad has been posting record profits? How big do their yachts have to be? I guess this is what you get when you have people in charge who have no idea how the IT infrastructure works. Its going to crumble before their eyes. Delays, derailments, injuries are going to spike HARD.
Im a Sr. Electronic tech! Abolished today. Mostly project personal after the latest project/restoration split last yr. Also anyone on med leave or military leave. There job has been abolished and they will have 5 days to place there bump upon return. So this will go on for awhile. Its gonna be crazy for awhile. They have cut to deep to keep up. The infrastructure will fail without these jobs. Of course this is after all profit is s---ed out of the company. Good luck!
Nampa, Roseville, Cedar Rapids, and El Paso telecom construction gangs have all been axed. I know of a few other Install Techs that have been let go as well. More to come, I’m sure.

2 from SoCal and The Nampa Construction gang so far
Yep, you nailed it. Looks like it’s all install techs. The backbone of the Union Pacific infrastructure is going to crumble.
Could you be any less specific???
I'm so sick of reading these coded messages on here. If you have something to say JUST SAY IT!
