GE is for sale. Culp if there to sell it. Just means it will be broken up and not exist as a large conglomerate anymore. Culps goal is to try to get as much $ for the top dogs and their WS friends as the break up plays out.

Well running thin overhead has never been GE’s culture. Even within the divisions there are layers of management that simply are not needed. Culp , take look at reporting structure. Cut the middle three layers of middle management and you will see some improvement. Also, bring back raises for individual contributors with money you just saved. The place needs to be gutted. That is true for all GE divisions.
I think he’s going to follow the Danaher model and Berkshire Hathaway model of a thin corporate layer with self-running, almost stand-alone businesses underneath.
