Intel’s fab expansion activities

The expansion of facilities is set to begin next year. Even though Oregon is also included in the expansions the majority of the expansions will take place abroad (Israel, Ireland). Regular expansions are an indicator that more production will be taken abroad?

What happened to the big 10nm fabs and all the odles of billion invested already in tooling sitting idle in three factories. You’d think easy to adopt 10 to 14+, oh yeah lots of idle SAQP that is useless for 14.

You know what will happen, the tools take 6 months or more to arrive, three more months to qual and the start ramp. Nothing comes online till Q4 2019 and 10- starts comes so all capacity written off.

Opps maybe we will try Foundry and ramp up a thousands of TMG and Division refugees to do useless work to sell worthless expensive capacity with no IP to computer against fully depreciated foundry.

Bean counter Bob and MCM with a clueless BoD exactly the kind of easy and stupid decions from you leaderless and non technology leading company
