Thread regarding Chaparral Energy layoffs

Chaparral is a now a good takeover candidate

Looks like a potential takeover candidate if someone moves quickly...especially before they get into debt up to their eyeballs again. At a market cap of 360 million and long term bond debt of +/- 300 million, the assets could be accretive for a management team that knows what they are doing...and the current team is primarily the same one that took CHAP into bankruptcy. The employees do not want a "rinse and repeat" re-run.

Bumped from @UuJoWUk-2bxoe for being on point.

Market Cap at 211 million...Enterprise Value at 532 million with very little cash in the bank. CHAP is well on the road of perdition following the pied piper. Lemmings and Frogs never get along.

It’s a shame. You look at all the happy faces when the bell rung at the NYSE (not sure why Frog and JM had their old ladies there) but now it’s to the point of no return. I predict $1.00 by the end of January.

Wonder who will come in and pick up the pieces? Run while you can, February is known as the RIF month around here.

What's the asset value at $45 WTI $3.60 HHub? Enough to cover $300M of debt? Restructure in Ch11 or Liquidation of assets seems a lot more likely.
