Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

I got laid off in February

Best career move that I was ever forced into. When my boss laid me off he said, “In less than a year you will be much better off and happier.” He was right. I was recruited by a better company, paid $50k more, and am not blocked by career execs. I also stole some of the best talent!! PepsiCo is good for a resume, not for a career. Merry Christmas!

Everyone at PepsiCo is just a number. It helps if you are in a protect d class but still you are just some random GPID.

Glad to hear of these successes but Unfortunately not everyone lives where the job market is booming so leaving is not so easy. Add to it circumstances that prevent moving to where the work is. what remains is people like me who are stuck

Similar situation for me.

I left Pepsico after last years bonus. I was a unit manager that always performed near or at the top. I was under paid compared to my peers by 30k per year. I Left the organization and got a 100% pay increase for less responsibility and more perks.

Strongly encourage my remaining ex- teammates to throw your resume out there or hire someone to help you get an interview. PepsiCo Employees generally are the strongest interviewers on the open market. If you cut 1 million dollars out of a budget in the private sector you’re getting a Mercedes. If you do it at Pepsico they’re smashing on 10% next year and your reward is a glass mantelpiece.
