Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Congrats you made it to yearend 2018. It's 401K matching time

Although your stock has been cut in half, don't worry be happy. 2019 will be even worse. This company is slowing dying. All the great people have retired, been axed, moved on or have died. Consider yourself special. Your dysfunctional management believes you are the best of the best. I personally think that you are a great salesman at getting other people axed. Rumor and innuendo does work in this life. You may think your special but really you are the s---ers for being manipulated and coerced into doing more for less. Have a great 2019. You have made it more difficult to find another position before we dive into a recession this time next year. Being employed at a bankrupt company is not very nice.

Plenty of people have cause to be unhappy. One week sitting in a decent Civil Service or Blue Chip company job, the next EDS, HP, HPE, and then finally the sh@tshow that is DXC come along and take over the management and tasks of said organisations, ruin their lives and jobs, and then make them redundant at some point! Yep, lots have a right to be p-ss-d off!

I am still looking and haven't found what I am looking for. A job where I can work from home, not being on call and one that offers health Insurance. When it happens then I'll collect my 8 weeks severance, and use the money I been saving and unemployment insurance to carry me. Since being outsourced 12 years ago, I have been saving money when this happens again, I have a year's salary in cash incase I need it.

Hopefully others saved what they could, it's wise to have 6 - 12 months of investments that can be turned into cash if needed and I have it.
