Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Recent posts on a “new” cash system at kmart (sorry to burst the bubble)

The Cummins system is NOT a POS cash Register system, is a fancy coin counter. Some Kmart store had them and when they close, the system gets sent to open stores that are high cash volume. Honestly we got one 3 months before we were announced. The closing store sent it in a flemsy box that was destroyed by ups. Half the pieces were missing and it sat on the office floor until we had to clean out the office the two weeks after we closed to the public. We boxed it up and sent it on to the next store. I promise it’s nothing amazing, actually it was a lot of money in shippingfor something that looked like it was 10+ years old and missing parts.

If it's what we got for a minute in the Sears cash office although it's not a new Point of Sale system, it's definitely a POS. Folks were on pebble talking it up with that fake enthusiasm until it was discovered that it didn't count the money accurately and caused all sorts of problems. Pebble posts fell off then because the calls for help weren't answered. Good luck though.
