Thread regarding CVS layoffs

Crazy concept

dedicated cashiers for pickup. Our pharmacies would be so much less stressed and more efficient if the techs could focus on tech work and not have to keep an eye on register at the same time. These same cashiers could actually serve as front store backup as well since the company wants to cut down to 1 person in the front at times throughout the week. The same way pharmacy calls a shift supervisor when they need assistance, the front could call for a cashier when they want to go to the bathroom or have a couponer and need some backup. I’m sick of the device that’s happening between front and pharmacy I wish we could all place nice again. Our store does a good job at it for the most part but I know that’s not the trend.

Not here we go again...it’s been tried in other chains and failed. It’s a waste of payroll. Give the stores more tech hours, they don’t count against ratio when onlybrunning register. Budgets used to reflect this years ago, but CVS keeps cutting to publish profits

There we go again with the divide. Front store does not like sharing because they don’t have the staffing that pharmacy does, it’s just impractical. Plus front store gets absolutely nothing out of that arrangement. They are still expected to get all their work done no matter what the pharmacy situation is. There is plenty of work to justify one in pharmacy. When nobody is picking up they can file. When there is nothing to file they can do shop backs. No shopbacks they can vacuum. Nothing to vacuum they can clean the counters and so on.

You will not find enough work to justify their position. This is already what the rx cross is supposed to be doing. FS just doesn’t like sharing

Excuse the grammatical errors. Cell phone typing is not my forte
