I heard more closings might be announced soon, but nothing near the level of the last round. Is this true?
I was hoping we were done with closing for at least a while, so I'm hoping this will turn out to be false. I'm tired of always having to worry about still being employed by the end of the month...
I’ve heard that one of the three Sams in my area is going to close. They've been eliminating positions recently, including the only HR person we have, but I don’t know if that’s an implication of impending doom, or if it’s just sams being sams.
One of our suppliers said they were told some of the club's they supply are closing.
Not trying to be rude but if you're tired of worrying then find something else. Even if your club does not close, they are cutting positions a lot more and one day they will pick your position.
I’ve been hearing the same. Last year, supposedly 100 were on the list to close and 63 closed so possibly 35-40 more this year. I’ve also heard most of the clubs in the company are way off from budget on sales and profit.
