Has anyone received their severance check that was affected by the new Backroom Positions on Dec. 7? I have been in the club I devoted 25+ years to, and their Receiving area and Claims area is the biggest mess ever. They put 2 people back there to cover the ONE Claims associate that had been back there for years, and they cant even get half of what the Claims associate used to accomplish in a day. Good thing Walmart is saving all that payroll!! So sad, but glad I was able to get out now before it gets worse.

How do you know youre getting it on the 24th? 3 of my coworkers who also left have already got theirs. I have not got mine yet and I docusigned before 2 of the people.
I docusined my severance packet on Dec. 17. Severance payed on Jan. 24.
I was displaced on December 7th. I received my severance packet via FedEx on December 12th. In the packet it stated that it could take up to 3 pay periods to receive my final payout. Not to mention, by signing, you're also signing away your Sam's share! Another stab in the back! Happy F-ing New Year!
Claims is out of control. Defects, liquidation, used assets, and so on blocking bunzle. It's an accident waiting to happen

This post seems quite familiar to my store in St. Clairsville Ohio. It’s an absolute train wreck back there. All ran by a manager that never had to worry about the area because of her very knowledgeable associates. She herself don’t even know how the operations run back there. Quite comical to say the least.
One associate got their payout, I have not. Hoping to get my Jan. 10th.
I don’t know who your mgrs hires, but ours are doing fine. One guy says it’s easy AND he drives a lift!

I received the severance pay on Dec 27th, it was direct deposited.

Yes, our club is worse in receiving and claims area.
Every time you visit, the area continues to compound with damages, returns and paperwork.
They are being buried with work. Areas will not ever be the same. Very knowledgeable associates who cared that the job was done right left, not only did we know about our area we took care of so much more throughout the clubs.
