Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

What is next?

If Assistant Managers info is true, what is next? Where will Walmart stop in its "cost cutting" that ends up always being at the expense of employees (and as a result customers, who receive sub-par service?)

Nothing is too big to fail, I really hope those on top realize that sooner rather than later.

Shrink. When I worked there and they were heavily staffed people ran out the door left and right with TVs and computers. Who’s gonna stop them if they have virtually no associates and only robots? They’ll just come in in teams to divert the AP like they used to but without associates they’ll be grabbing stacks of 4K movies stuffing them in bags and running.

I believe Walmart could strip everything down to zero staff, all automated everything, the sales floor, action alleys, end caps and side counters a red hot mess, and customers would STILL slam those stores to bits.

Again: Anyone waiting on customers to form a national boycott big enough to even make a real dent on this company is sadly wasting their time.

The average customer wouldn't be bothered if an associate's children ended up in foster care, if it meant they'd be getting their brand of ceral when they want it.
