Yup PSI ALL GONE! But still they manage to munipulate us. As of yesterday day nationwide we still showed active. If our insurance stopped on the 15th of Feb. just like our last day and no insurance carryover with our insurance, then why would they deduct for our insurance on the 15th. If I'm not mistaken as any policy , you pay in advance. And usually all polices run from first to 30th. So Lowe's which way is it? I think we are owed a rebate. This dismissal surely has not been clear.........begining to see labor board visions! This is not right Marv!

So starting Feb 2 all class 1-4 stores will no longer have loss prevention in store.

Class 5 and 6 will keep their managers and specialists. Our LPOSM have already decided on who they want for a “senior team” SAPOSM Senior asset protection operations & safety Manger (there will be approximately 3 to a market). These offers will be given today for certain people.

As you may of noticed loss prevention will now be titled Asset protection.

We have until January 25th to be placed into a new role with Lowe’s, and until Monday to accept a SAPOSM Position if offered. Severance is 1 week for each year or 4 week minimum or max of 18 weeks

I am not a direct employee of Lowe’s but rather an employee for a contractor whose business was exclusive to the PSI program. Two stores in AZ, fulltime work for 10 people who cared about quality, worked through issues with professionalism...all soon to be out of work also since being exclusive to PSI program doesn’t generate leads like a typical contractor does.

Customers with projects in the pipeline also thrown to the wind by a corporate decision.

Sad

PSI program was a losing program from the start. No oversight contractors unqualified to do projects on budget or time, poor workmanship equals lawsuits. Throwing money at these customers because nobody knew how to handle it. Customers reading blogs about how to use the system and get money back just complain and get what you want. Now good people out but they should have seen it coming just like the PSe now will be under a microscope, I am getting out before they harass me to the point of no return. F Lowes no backbone..we have MSM's now who will be on your back wanting to know why every lead you went on didn't sell, most never doing an in home presentation and thinking that they went to a meeting know how it is done. get out PSE or wait till your serverance package is offered? oh wait no serverance when fired for telling MSM to go f themselves

We work in retail! All retailers are heavily PT. Lowe’s is still way more FT than most. Many other big box stores are almost all PT. Bottom line is if you want to be FT you have to be one of the best. You have to sell and have customers who love you. It’s like every business in America. The best make the money.

I am (is/was/will soon not be) an LPM that makes a difference in my store. I have a great relationship with my store. We just had our 5Q safety celebration and my guys are pumped to get to 6. The only true issue that I have with this layoff is, when Marvin and Joe had their televised meeting a few months back, Joe was asked by a caller, If their would be any changes to the LP positions and Joe stated "no, no changes will be made to the Loss Prevention Department". All this tells me is that both Marvin and Joe are Liars. They looked straight into that camera and bold face lied to us all. No LP's in a class 1-4 store....... good luck with those one day inventories!!!!! The stolen account is gonna become a catch all and inventories are gonna BLOW UP!!!!! I predict LP's will be back in all stores in 3 years.

Not sure what the point of taking another on spot in Lowes will do. Everything is part time for no money and everything full time meaning department managers and or service is c-appy hours for now less money. I don't see many PSI's staying with the company. More changes to come and alot more jobs will be lost.

As part of a transformation for how it operates its stores, Lowe’s announced a major restructuring of its workforce on Friday. The net impact on the company’s total employee count isn’t clear, however.

In a statement, Lowe’s said it is discontinuing its project specialist interiors program, which employs workers responsible for overseeing every phase of complex home projects such as kitchen remodels. But the company would not say how many people the program employs.

Eliminating the program next month is intended to help Lowe’s “simplify our operations to better meet customer expectations,” spokeswoman Jackie Pardini Hartzell told the Observer.

In many cases, the current program didn’t meet company or customer expectations, she added. The employees in that program can apply for jobs elsewhere at Lowe’s, the company said.

What is the criteria for PSE to be eliminated in selected areas?

Its all going to boil down to all CSA's being Part time anyway, Unless you can score an upper level spot I'd just take the severance and keep it pushing.

They are offering PSI's a chance to take an open position within their store. If you don't get it or even try for one, then take the severance package.
