The company has had a bunch of ASM positions open for a while now stating that no offers will be made until 1-11-19, with the layoffs I assume many internals in LP and PSI departments would get first dibs at applying for these positions, does ASM take over LP responsibilities? (More than the obvious LP responsibility and accountability for the average memeber of management) what is the ASM salary scale like in your area? Any increases do you think, now with even more responsibility?

If a LPM was not chosen for the area position, and doesn’t have directly related ASM experience for another company, they certainly will not be qualified for ASM. The jobs both require vastly different skill sets. I would not expect to see many of the ASM positions go to LPMs. I think it’s far more likely a SM would give them a shot at one of the new Department Supervisor positions though. The pay will be pretty similar to what LPMs we’re making.
