How Intel plans to profit from 5G

This article provides a good insight into Intel’s strategy regarding 5G, and how it plans to profit and ensure growth from various segments of the 5G market. I understand that many of you, if not all of you, are familiar with this matter, but still, I found it to be a good read.

Wow is he a bear or a bull? It doesn’t matter how big the market is, what matters is are you executing or not.

How can intel be competitive w/o leading edge silicon? LTD has really fumbled it and it’s leadership should all resign in shame like SA.

They have blown their three year lead and If you want product leadership you need great design on a great process. So sad for the Canon and Icelake design teams, billions invested and nothing to show.

Apple for a little while can afford to delay moving to leadership, but like when they dumped PowerPC and Motorola they can’t surive long w/o leadership silicon and design on lagging silicon can only be milked for so long. Already they are under siege as the growth slows. They can’t fall behind Huawei, Samsung, and the midrange like Oppo and Vivo. They must move to advance silicon and it ain’t intel

Like when they dumped Motorola they will need to dump Intel, as soon as they get their own desig like they did with Aps processor they will move it all to superior TSMC silicon.

Apple needs a contingency plan if intel is doing the modem on 10 and 14 is totally constrained making high margin server chips
