Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Management being deceptive

Someone else posted about management being deceptive regarding the layoffs but that post was deleted for some reason

Someone posted Piotr being deceptive and condescending.

Thoughts on him and others?

Interesting. But why would independent site be beholden to Management’s interests. Anyone can start a website and say anything they want as long it’s not criminal.

I would guess that this site is monitored to forestall claims of "management's knowing misrepresentations" which could constitute fraud, including securities fraud.

Stop naming names, that’s against the site rules.

In the Corporates segment the business head and the appointments directly under him relay positive messages because they know they're safe despite their lack of ideas and results. They are saying this to people who have an uncertain future. Pretty condescending and horrific people. This is who they are

The gas-lighting comment on that thread was spot on, it's a pity it was taken down. Hopefully that person can post it again. Anyway, there is condescension and deception. I won't say his name b/c mentioning the new head of coporate or the polish guy might get this thread removed but the messaging from the him has been all positive whether it's on webex or the hub. Layoffs are coming and it's still jovial for them. He'll list about 10 questions that were sent in advance on the powerpoint presentation at the end of a call. He'll ignore 8-9 of them lol!!! On these hour long calls he congratulates everyone w/ new roles and talks about the bright future. It's the same people in these lead roles, how is it bright future where they were in charge previously? How is it a bright future when you're paying incompetent consultants (Mckinsey anyone?) to help run the company?

I’m wondering why the post was deleted as well. There is no way to report a post, and it does not seem anything went against the content rules stated here. So, did someone email whoever runs this website because they did not like the discussion, including the part about gaslighting? Hmmm.

Why the post deleted? Did it break a site rule?

Management wasn't deceptive. They made it clear they will cut offices and management layers by a third in the Q3 earnings call.

Seems there's a separate thread discussing why Reuters News didn't report this and put out a fluffy piece instead.
