Anyone find out that their center is for sale that has renovations going on? They are telling us we’re safe, but there is all kinds of work being done here that’s a little concerning that makes me think this place is next.

I worked for 6.5 years at the Wallongford Call Center. We were told we would never be laid off because our building houses 'the switch and the own the building. They renovated the building in 2015. Come November 2016 we get the notice they are closing us. Nothing is guaranteed. I heard they are housing some business sales and local tech guys now.
As long as Irvine CA and Lincoln NE are still in business, we're all fine :)
There are 11 call centers
Some are being worked on and renovated
Albuquerque got a new game room new furniture and new signs on the building then less than 2 months later verizon announced the closings.
Why is VZW walking away from Call Centers while T-Mobile is embracing them? Wake up, Ronan!
Utlm- if the Murfreesboro call center just signed a five year lease why hasn't that been mentioned in any one of the Town Halls we have or in an email? Seems like it would settle all the rumors going around if that was true. Why are you privy to this information but the rest of us are not? I call bs
Ultm- interesting that you feel the need to comment on every post that mentions the Murfreesboro call center is closing, only to claim they are not closing. If they signed a five year lease then why did the call center just go up for sale in October? ALL call centers are going to be converted to HBA then eventually outsourced.
I work in the Murfreesboro center and it has been for sale since I started there in 2006 so that’s nothing new. We rent the building and just signed a new 5 yr lease.
Meantime, you have perfectly functional buildings like Huntsville that are sitting empty. Verizon’s gonna be screwed when T-Mobile’s TEX model forces the industry to do Customer Service smarter and in-house.

Columbia. Lots of Reno being done there.
There was an excess in the budget for renovations and then decided to birn it up instead of rolling it into savings . Everyone put on for as much renovation as they can and alot of it got approved . This info is from one of the guys who takes care of one of the buildings that the rumors are flying around about. And before you ask where , I'd prefer not to say bit it's down south. Real south
Columbia center (new one) opened in 2010. Speculation is 10 year lease is up in 2020. So, who knows what 2019 / 2020 holds for this center.
Work being done at Columbia
Murfreesboro is getting work done because it's for sale. Look it up.
Which center? I know Murfreesboro has some work being done, but what are the other non-BGCO centers left?
-El Paso
-Chandler
-Rolling Meadows
-Wilmington
-Columbia
-Greenville
Any work being done at those centers?
