It’s just a job. That is all it is. It has never mattered what happened on a campus, the operating procedure comes from a higher authority. All employees have been told to operate like it is business as usual. Forget about the casualties of the business transactions, ignore your own wounds and keep the students happy. “If you keep the students enrolled you can keep your job until we no longer need you.” That is the read between the lines subtext. There’s nothing personal about the layoffs, this isn’t how a college operates but it is how a business looking to make high profit does business.

By the way, it’s just a job. They come and they go.

An employer is only loyal to an employee for as long as they are needed, it has nothing to do with productivity, quality or your loyalty to the company.

Exactly, it’s just a job. But it is with a company that has no respect for people, employees, students or taxpayers, no regard for quality, and is merely concerned with profit. Once you know that about DCEH, you can put personal career goals aside and approach work like a job.

Yes, but that is the type of mentality that forces businesses into bankruptcy constantly.

There has to be value in the three Ps.

People

Product

Process

In that order. The campuses would do much better if they actually let the campuses make their own decisions. Teachers don't get enough credit for being a valuable resource in the people department.
