Better prospects outside of VZ

I spent the last few years allowing VZ to help me finish paying for my BS degree, my CCNP, and my CCIE. Just for giggles I created a Linkedin account and immediately began being poached for jobs...all of which are offering me 2x my c-appy salary at VZ and giving me more time to myself. The job market is good from what I can see if you've given yourself valuable skills...and probably still decent even if you don't have much to offer.

I'm tired of this miserable place...I'm tired of them not promoting and making my job a living hell day to day these last few years. I'm tired of being BSed by management on a daily basis. I'm out of here and have convinced most of my team that there is a future outside of this company...we didn't opt for the package but now seems many of us are going to leave as there are better prospects elsewhere. I want to be with a growing company, not a shrinking one...and a company that will actually pay me for well.

I guess with all that high paying opportunity and money people are shoveling your way y’all didn’t need the money or benefits from the package. I personally couldn’t lileave that much money on the table but kudos to the lot of you for helping the VZ execs.

I dunno man.. I make over 110K a year, get 100% match on my 401K for 6%. My medical benefits are the bomb.

You can take one of these contractor positions and be ok in the short term, but you've got no future there. Have fun job jumping.

To some extent they have created a Pandora’s Box. It is in the company’s best interest to let those go who want to go. They have used the based on the needs of the business, if we wanted to stay we wouldn’t have opted in.

Truly it is. The recruiter said why I have been stayed here for so long. I am giggling the company is willing to give away a package for us to leave. There is more prosperity outside for your personal growth. I would consider leaving now even without the package if they keep us until June.

These fake posts are tiresome. If you are doing so well and think vz is so terrible, you are clearly brain damaged for not taking the package.

If you are going to create a work of fiction, at least make it somewhat believable, or entertaining. This is just sad. Maybe you should have taken English classes instead of CCNP.
