So is getting rid of the top trouble makers from TMG BK and SA enough and replacing with MM and AK going to cut it?
BK and SA completely decimated the core intel talent, code of conduct morales and values and moral couldn’t be more low. If only Intel did such a transparent survey like Facebook, remember when Intel used to do surveys and than did away because of the farce of it all.
Now TMG is 50000 person albatross s---ing 10s of billions in expenditures.
For that you have an underperforming 14nm, 4 year late 10nm and who knows what development starved 7nm is enduring as they scramble to try and recovery 10nm. The bold leadership would junk 10nm and refocus all efforts on a real and well managed and executed 7nm to try and catch up with TSMC, think leadership is bold enough to do that?
The next CEO will need to house clean the leadership all the way down to fab and likely AM level to have any hope of a turnaround. How likely is that kind of transformation?
Far easier to just go to TSMC and Samsung and let the two bid and produce silicon for far cheaper and faster for the monopoly server and client and let the design team focus on features that will actually show up on time in silicon versus vapor ppt.
TMG look at IBM and AMD silicon that is your future.
