Buy $250 and earn $250 cashback. And we're still not making good numbers! This is obviously to bring in "sales" so he can show the bankruptcy judge "see? holiday sales are great!". Such transparent BS. Can you imagine how insane any other store would be if they were running this promotion?

So sad that there are no Kmart or Sears stores in a 45 minutes radius. I went to the mall yesterday and felt sad when I sat the dead, empty Sears store which once was packed with customers and lots of merchandise that people actually wanted. Not odd things from the dollar store.
Gotta boost sales, bring comps up, to show Judge what a powerful turnaround your making so you can sell 500 stores as a going concern. Look we have a chance! No chance means chapter 7 liquidation and the man loses his tight grip on everything. This is a charade to look good to get his way! Chapter 11 is not for hopeless cases, so it's gotta look good.
But according to Leena points dont cost company money. That's why she and Eddy gave them away with abandonment.
Frankly, I’d much rather have 50% off then SYW points. That’s why I don’t shop at Sears or Kmart.
New offers coming out today. Intent is both Traffic and Conversion. Some are in store and some on line.

Ideally, would have wanted it be a tiered offer or split but given the time constraint we have to repurpose an existing code.
Based on high level analysis - expecting a 6% to 11% lift (~$8m) if current run-rate continues
Tuesday/Wednesday – One day only. Text to get any Christmas tree for $69.99 in store only (or BOPIS
Similar construct being looked at for apparel for driving traffic
Look for Comm out ASAP.

If you think about it, this is actually just another way of quietly liquidating, turning inventory into cash at below wholesale prices while getting sales numbers up.
Interest-Free, sales boosting, unsecured source of financing. Genius actually. Scummy of course. lol
Sears has sent me THREE $15 off $15 coupons over the last few days. I love all the free stuff, and I guess it's great to show fake sales that aren't really there!
@WixiUlA-kig Yeah. Your kind of like an unsecured creditor. Financing his bankruptcy with the customers money. Clever actually. Not exactly ethical, but not illegal. He's a wiley one that's for sure.
It's $25 a week for 10 weeks. At least it's not spread over a whole year like some of the previous cashback offers.
@kig The other question is will Sears close down SYW before people can use all their points? Bet on it.
Eddie is chairman and as largest shareholder, he appoints the entire board of directors as well as hires all the executives. He's not the CEO, or in the office of the CEO. He's their boss.
I thought Eddie stepped down.
Plus you don't get $250 points in lump sum.. Sears is giving those dollars on payment plan over so many months.. The real test of the sale.. Will Sears be open long enough to pay you all of that $250??
I say no!
It's not free , it's half off. You buy $250 and get $250 in points you have to spend on another $250 in merchandise. Your still spending $250 for $500 of merchandise.
