Look I hate to post this as is it a small unit but I just can’t get any straight information anywhere. Bottom line I’m somewhere in the middle. Have not been here forever. No major severance package waiting for me. I have to work. The SIU unit has not had any major layoffs yet but we did lose some admin’s. Lots of people leaving. 1 unit had people leaving constzntly but no one tells me why? What are the chances of Lay offs and how much in this unit in the next six months?

Special Investigative Unit is my guess is what you are talking about. Look I heard and am pretty sure they took out the whole other side of investigations (ISD) a few years ago. I was not with AIG any more ( I left in 2013). best decision I ever made. My guess and only a guess is if they let The other half go and that was BEFORE stock tanked there are lay offs in the future. Look the pay was ok and benefits fair but culture has been avge to toxic. It was a job and I was happy to have it. That was the best part. NOT looking over your shoulder Every Day however has been great. If you are talking about investigations that unit has been adrift with NO leadership for YEARS. Again decent job but if you want a career get out on your own terms soon
