This move by GM is a bigger thing at play. This gives management basically 1 year of not having to answer questions about tech disruption and appear to be a leader. Now that cruise autonomous unit needs to show some amazing results.
But the ball is kicked down the road where next two earnings quarters dont matter. Management can sleep easy until the summer. Hopefully people are still buying their trucks like crazy bc if not it will turn ugly fast.
