What’s the story with layoffs this week? I’m most interested in claims adjusters, managers and lawyers in NYC but Id also like to hear what’s going on in Olathe and Alpharetta.

Technology has been taking cuts. Toxic environment. Only older folks though and spread out over time to avoid regulatory guidelines and probably press scrutiny. Funny BD made losses known on day stock market was closed.
25 layoffs in stevens point already happened. Are there more to come?

We had a RIF go down this AM. About a third of our unit. More to follow tomorrow. Watch out for mundane, scheduled meetings on such things as goals. The only goal by the company is to RIF the employee without raising any suspicion. They were successful today.

According to Joseph Puelo's bio, his title says he is Head of Operations for Property. Casuality and Specialty lines. But then again, he could be BD's dog p--per scooper now. as much as they all change titles, lol
What is Joeseph Puleo’s function would it be plausible that he might conduct RIF’s if indeed he was going to your location thanks
I don't know him personally nor have I worked under him; however, I do know about him and have been in meetings/conference calls with him. Pretty much everyone calls him an a-hole behind his back and if you've ever heard him on a call, he is a total tool. As for him traveling, can mean a bunch of things.

We aren't really writing any new business. Although we have had renewals, we have also had a large amount of non renewals. Yes claims will be affected as will most groups. It's not looking good at all.
In Claims it depends on the Dept. the groups whose claim counts are shrinking know they’re on borrowed time. Claims is bloated and will be hacked accordingly. Right now safest place is in Legacy where at least BD is investing in.
