To the person saying store managers are not being removed! You need to stop giving people false hope. SM have families to support and bills to pay. They need not be blind sided like the District managers, region managers , loss prevention agents and all the support people were last December. According to a reliable source this will happen at once across the nation without warning. Profiles without a degree were automatically kicked to the does not qualify for new position. Persons registered at school do qualify. New titles are called health hub operators. Pic will undergo extensive training based on the new business model. New uniforms , new store design , new name . Warehouse positions, drivers ect reduced by 40 percent. Proof will be if your FS sales budgets are reduced next year, this is the expectation.

Store managers please listen to the person that handled the power point! They should be fired today for outing confidential information. This was a great sacrifice so that you could hear the truth.

To the “pharmacist” that posted here I’m guessing you’re a DL because you simply couldn’t be trusted to actually verify scripts. Congrats on the promotion?

Could you imagine a pharmacist sweeping a parking lot or better yet clean a bathroom....omg that would make my day. They call me to replace receipt paper....how the hell are they gonna run a store....

Maybe you should enroll in the University of Phoenix. It might improve your poor grammar.

I’m a DL thats a Pharmacists and I have word that FS is pretty much dead. My old FS manager was a loser. All he did was b--ch and moan about his work yet he did nothing but hang out in the office, in the aisle and take every weekend off. He’ll be joining the rest of ya at the unemployment line. Pharmacists are taking over you online Phoenix degree losers

Heard the same thing about the store manager being cut next year. 3 store managers have left since September and my DL still hasn't repaced them and we have 5 amit's in the district. Everyone knows something is up.

Most DL's are pharmacists and that's the direction we are headed. My stores remodel is slated for February and we are getting an eye and ear clinic.

Very scary year in 2019 for the front store managers

Don't worry, fs managers aren't going anywhere. If they were we wouldn't be revamping the training program for future leaders right now. This person is just trolling.

I don’t mean to be a d bag, but “pharmacy managers” can’t even manage their corner of the store. There is no way they could handle a total store operation even if FS is reduced. That being said, I can see them eliminating the store manager position and replace with some other form of leadership. I think these changes will take at least a year. I am a manager of a store over 100k that has met or exceeded expectations since I arrived. without a bachelors. I will look forward to my lay-off and subsequent law suit.

Director of Operations Craig T. Leaked some info at a Woonsocket meeting. (I'm a corp nobody but had to run the powerpoint)

FS will be cut back to cosmetics/beauty, healthcare, Hallmark, very limited grocery/candy/snacks. FS Manager will be eliminated. Fs staff very limited with RX manager running the show running rx, fs, and heathlcare hub practices (optical/hearing/diabetics ect) as well as running the bench. They will have full responsibility of hiring, store scheduling, service, and fs planograms, product withdrawls, dsd, ect. This will be scaled back from what the FS manager currently does.

high volume stores fs that are currently doing over 75k/week will have a "Health Leader" aka former SM. That position requires a bachelors degree no exceptions. FS managers were asked last month to update their mysuccess last month to help identify who will be qualified to run the high volume fs.

Shift supervisors will become "Health Supervisors" and be limited to 2 per store. RX Manager required to open and close the store (cash room operations ect) along with the 2 Health Supervisors.

Mass/RI/Conn to start 2nd quarter of 2019 with store remodels being complete in quarter 1. This will start with 60-70% of this markets stores. Sorry no word on severance or final days for store managers

Dental will be designed to use 1/4 of the store space, minute clinic will move to the front of location, Rx will no longer be in back , but centered in the location. Great article Aetna dental exposes restructuring possibilities, there will also be something called Aetna services

So excited to see our company decide to charge into the future with our new health hubs. Shoving the money maker(Rx) into a Back corner has come to an end. I know FS managers will land on their feet somewhere else, Maybe a Dollar General since standards are basically the same. As we move forward as medical professionals , know we appreciate what FS did to get us where we are now. Unfortunately we can no longer absorb the Fs losses and decay of contribution made by this dept. wishing all of you happy holidays.

That sounds like a pipe dream to me. At an employee wide town hall with Larry and Mark earlier this year, they said it would be "years" before this model would be rolled out. They said they were starting with ONE pilot store in New York City.
