WM testing the same-day grocery delivery system in China

I understand that this is not a layoff-related subject, but wanted to post this. The possibilities are endless on the Chinese market and I think that it’s a good move that WM plans to expand services. Think that the company can benefit from this greatly if succeeds to catch the “ pulse” of the Chinese consumers.

Walmart struggles to keep up ! Walmart will not allow the ASM over the OGP Department to schedule the hours that are needed in that area to be successful. Not wanting the area to be staffed with FT Associates that will allow them to work the hours needed to meet the fill rates set. When orders are placed and the customers are told you may pick up your order at a certain time you must be staffed. Walmart will not ever get passed the Knee Jerk, Fire Fighting mentality. What usually happens is the Manager on duty takes from the sales floor to meet the customer demand. All inexperienced picking customers groceries or just telling the customers they are out of stock. Mean while the customers are outside waiting for their groceries. The Store Managers and Upper Managers of the On line grocery have failed the Customer and the Associates ... this happens pretty regularly at every store that offers On Line Grocery,..
