"Mike Lynch, the former chief executive of software giant Autonomy, has been charged with fraud in the US. The charge, which carries a maximum term of 20 years, relates to its 2011 sale to computer giant Hewlett-Packard."

id--t management at HP were taken in ..... surely they had advice and experienced people to dig and see what the reality was. It's a bit like the current management spouting their BS about their abilities to support some poor s---ers IT environment and taking money for it only to be proven that they can't arrange a piss up in a brewery

beware of anything coming from UK. Poor Apothekar the then CEO of HP (who was ex SAP ) was a newbie and believed the UK bum. .... and there you go ! rest is history.
