Your - shows possession. Ex: Your mom is trash.

You're - contraction, Ex: You're the tard that can't properly convey thoughts in your native tongue, English.

Ur - interchangeable for mouth breathers that don't know the difference between the former two examples. Ex: Ur a knuckle dragging mo--n and ur mom is a syphilitic prostitute.

Yes, I am grateful as well. I am particularly sad though that I will miss out on my 30 year anniversary lunch and recognition gift, as I will just be a few months short. It would have been a meaningful celebration of the work done in my years of service at VZ. Oh, wait......( inside joke for those that have been around a while)

I'm another person who is NOT upset with VZ. I look back over the last 18 years and I had a good ride. Move around quite a bit with the departments.. learned the politics of Corporate lol.. I can't be mad at all. If selected I take this package as a gift.. no hard feelings.. after all.. if I stayed forever... I would get NOTHING! no watch.. no thank you.. IT'S BUSINESS NOT PERSONAL

25+ years have been good to me ,and my family. Like so many other folks, I have worked with many good people and will miss them. Needless to say the direction of the company has changed, some promising paths, others not at all. Just look at IT , seems its a dart board, and upper mgmt , well can't throw a dart. There are other business lines that just are not cutting it, but yet we keep throwing money into the pit. The culture brought to our shores, and implemented haphazardly , is yet another stake in our business heart. The changes really need to be deep, with certain upper mgmt shown the door, otherwise the VZ mantra of hiring and keeping the best, will continue to be a myth as it has grown to be.

The company changed considerably after the Vodaphone buyout. That's why I have been with VZ for 18 years. The first 15 were GREAT. Not so much the last 3.

I would agree with at least some of this post.

As the saying goes the grass can always look greener on the other side of the fence. Also, no matter where you work there will be problems no matter where you work etc. If someone has a lot of years in at Verizon one would wonder why they stayed so long if things were really that bad.

You are right, there are a lot of haters on this site. I agree with you completely. 18 1/2 years enough. ready for something different. Notin' but love for those who are left behind and I hope that the toxicity of this place reduces

Verizon has been a good company for many years. And now with my training it’s truly time to move on towards bigger and better. But like it was said, I’m grateful for the certifications and opportunities to start out my “grown-up career” here.

@WtAgiW1-jun If that's how you felt why stay around at all? Surely, if it was that bad, you could've found something better elsewhere. If you willingly stayed in a situation that you so clearly abhorred, what does that say about you? The Adam Carolla axiom applies here: you're either stupid or a liar. Possibly both.

The company has made some decisions in the past few years that I haven't agreed with, but at the same time they've been more or less transparent with my group about their direction. The last year has been particularly rough and I look forward to moving on.

Wow that was very sentimental .I gotta just say that you must have been in a very dreamy department in verizon heaven .While the rest of us were waddling around waste deep in doo doo.I mean reguardless of what side of the fence you been in Verizon it sure was hard to keep from sinking in it,but apparently there were a few that got to swim at the top.Your cubicle partner did not happen to be named Lowellete Mcadams
