I’m watching senators from Michigan right now discussing GMs layoffs and the devastation where was it should I say where IS Lizzie? Ed? Crickets! And I’ll bet you all voted them back in too.

Why do you think your senators should get involved? As much as I don’t like State Street’s strategy, private companies can decide how many people to hire or fire and it is not the government’s business.
I recall a co-worker being laid off around the Christmas holiday. This was several years ago and they landed a much better position with a different financial services firm.
The announcement for 7000 was made in 2016 So I repeat where were and where are they?!! Still crickets
Why are you asking (lol), State Street layoffs have been going on since 2007
1st it started as a yearly event for a few years, then it became an ever 6 month event.
Now its going to every 3 months they lay off a few people at a time to avoid detection
