You must be new to Walmart, this isnt new to the rest of us. Go eat your avocado toast and shut up.
Why are fussing it is the same thing every year they cut hours every year
Not every retail is open on holidays. Some close, some have reduced hours. WM is just one of those greedy companies. The world would not stop if a store reduced operating hours a few times a year.
The OP must be a milinial. Expect everything for nothing. Stand around and get paid handsomely for it. When you work retail, you work holidays. Period. If you dont like it, quit. Give people willing to work hard the hours.
I don't like it either, but they're following the laws of supply and demand. Unskilled labor that you can manipulate, replace and abuse at will to serve a consumer base whom truly doesn't care about the workers. Welcome to free markets :)
Yes working some holidays is to be expected, working Thanksgiving and New Years for NORMAL pay, nothing extra... only at Walmart...
If you work in any kind of retail business weather it be Walmart or any other store common sense tells you in the months after Christmas business is slower. Therefore payroll would be cut to offset sales. Nothing new. Need to expect this if you want to make retail your career.
What is this based on? It would help if you had some type of basis for your accusations.
None of what you posted is backed up with direction the company has given the stores.
Working on the holidays is part of retail. If a person does not want to work weekends, nights or holidays this is the wrong field for them.
Oh yea, happy holidays! Have fun being forced to work these major holidays for normal pay and nothing more! We really do appreciate our "associates" tho! Lol
Everything you described is exactly why I delight in this modern day plague taking out MANAGEMENT. ... It's not cool to celebrate anyone losing their jobs, but these 'people' have so righteously reaped karmic justice the bill is backed up further than the Trail of Tears ~
You must be pretty young to be upset about this
