Everyone at HE know this is stupid...except for the Advertising dept and Retail Services. All of the systems and financial reporting are Sun-Sat (you know, fiscal). What can go wrong? Somebody is probably getting a bonus for coming up with the change.
The people in HE are stretched thin and abandoning ship as soon as they find a lifeboat same as everyone else.
The ad is still not complete. Why don't the brilliant people in Corp. ever realize that it's next to impossible to set an ad in an open store. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night when traffic is usually heavy. There is just to many customers who demand your help, the fitting rooms are packed and the floor is trashed. I don't know about other store, but our store's staff is stretched way too thin.
It required a lot of labor. Seems a waste to change 50% off signs to something else and add a bunch of flyers to let them know about discounts at the register which will equate to exactly the same thing. Yet more time at checkouts and Hand written signs. The person writing them scans all the merchandise and determines what percent is discounted. I think they also have all the employees that do Sunday ad set working. Those labor hours could be put to better use.
