I heard from one of our backroom associates that our Frito-Lay vender told him, that as of the first of the year, they will no longer be doing Frito-lay in our club. That it will be on the DC truck now. Didnt say WHO would be doing it, just that it will now come from our DC. Has anyone else heard anything like this?

Our vendor said many of their big ticket sellers will be coming in on Walmart’s now but the ones that don’t sell as much will be coming in regularly with the vendors. He also said they won’t be in control of ordering those bigger sellers anymore because of Walmart taking it over.
This is partially correct. But yes, by the end of next year Frito lay will be 100% coming off the DC, no vendors. We are responsible for stocking. Just as Costco has done it for years.
we have been get crossdock frito for years..at least three years..they always take care of it when it comes ..but It makes sense they would give us more to do AND cut hours and workers..after all more work does indeed equal fewer workers..that is called management addition...
From what i heard in the new year starting after January anything coming off the DC as far as Frito lay we're responsible for as far as stocking and credits is concerned and the rep will bring in their own but eventually all of it will be coming off the DC
Part of our has been coming on DC trucks for a while now. Frito Lay vendors stock their items they bring in as well as what comes off the DC truck.
