Can someone please tell me what exactly they will be cross training in each area, what are the particulars? And with this training does that mean from day to day you will work produce or cafe whenever they feel like doing this?

Cross training is likely the precursor to a more singular job title, Fresh Associate. Too many clubs dont have enough associates trained to cover calloffs and execs are seeing clubs close cafe early or bad produce on the floor and this removes the excuse that no one is trained.
Each associate should learn the entirety of the department, enough so to run a break or lunch. We taught our how to make the regular items and spot cleaning. Since every club has to do cross training, it's not indicative of a closure.
You store is closing so they are prepping you to learn other areas so you can apply for a new job
