Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Is this just a show?

While we all know Eddie doesn't have much talent in running a business. He does excel at manipulation.

I wonder if Eddie wanted his bid to keep the company intact to fail. Especially since he also had a second bid on just the parts he wanted.

He can make others be the bad guy in forcing the liquidation, while trying to play the hero.

He has already extracted assets over the last 10 or so years, and as a hedge fund manager would be looking at when and how to extract more. Having Sears liquidate may give him the best options to get the rest of what he wants while also losing all the debt.

No, at this point even his acolytes are turning on him to cover their own asses. Eddie alienates everyone. It's his God given talent.
