In general, if someone lives 50 or more miles away from the Molina Health Plan office, relocation packages will be available. Anyone who lives within the 50 mile radius is the expectation to

work from the office. Impacted staff that chooses to relocate will be offered a relocation package; the transition timing will be worked out on a case by case basis. Impacted staff who decide not to relocate, will be offered severance if eligible.

This restructure also impacts 16 Case Mgmt. Manager & Director of HCS. The new Health Plan Affiliation model launching January 1st will pair large and small plans, with the larger plan providing center of excellence support to their “Partner” health plan. In the new structure for MHI Case Mgmt. (CM) and Utilization Mgmt. (UM) will have six (6) Regional Directors on the CM team and six (6) Regional Directors on the UM team reporting up to the National Leaders of CM and UM. These positions will be based out of the corporate office in Long Beach.

Part 2

Training and auditing are critical functions of case & utilization mgmt. program. The business determined that training is best delivered and administered at the Health Plan level and having training and auditing resources embedded in the local HCS operations will allow for better alignment with specific health plan needs for NEO training, ad hoc training, remedial training and individual performance auditing. There are 52 auditors (17 UM and 35 CM) and 31 Trainers (14 UM and 17 CM),---combined total of 83. Projected future count is approximately 99 roles--- (52 auditors and 47 trainers) in total.

In 2017, the training and auditing function was moved from the Health Plans and was centralized to the Corporate Healthcare Services (HCS) Department. Based on feedback from the Health Plans, it was determined that there were some challenges with the current structure. A decision was made to move the training and auditing function back to the Health Plans and Corp. Training and auditing are critical functions of case the transition timing will be worked out on a case by case basis. Impacted staff who decide not to relocate, will be offered severance if eligible.
